Therapist/Mental Health Educator

📍Saskatoon, SK

We are currently looking for a therapist/mental health educator to join our team. This job posting is to work with Oaks Mental Health as well our sister organization, Branches Counselling. Ideally, we are seeking an individual with master’s degree in a field relevant to mental health (i.e., social work, counselling, psychology, etc.).

You would facilitate courses for Oaks Mental Health like Trauma Informed Care, Compassionate Crisis Response, Supporting People with Addictions, etc. You would also balance facilitation with clinical work as a therapist. Duties as a therapist include attending clinical supervision and group case consultations monthly.

Preference will be given to individuals with clinical focus on child/youth mental health, couples therapy, and/or family therapy.

Our ideal candidate would have:

  • Lived experience of mental health struggles and/or addiction (not required but is seen as valuable).
  • A master’s degree in social work, psychology, or another related field. MSW candidates will be considered.
  • 3+ years of experience providing counselling or relevant mental health services.
  • Experience public speaking, running trainings and/or facilitating groups.
  • Robust knowledge of diverse mental health conditions including depression, anxiety, and addiction.
  • The ability to work independently and manage one’s own tasks and schedule.
  • A compatible personality and work style with our current team dynamic.

Hours

Full-Time Flex (30-40 hours per week), Monday to Friday, Day Shifts.

Salary Range

$75,000 – $85,000 per year (based on education and experience).
